Murchison falls NP is one of Uganda’s most iconic parks and is part of the Murchison falls conservation area; the largest conservation area in the country. The Park was named after the mighty Murchison falls, arguably the strongest waterfalls in the world. This tour may reward you with sights of the big 5 mammals if you are lucky. Rhinos can be tracked along the way to the park, while the other 4 of the big five (leopard, buffalo, elephant and lion) are resident in the park.
A game drive in the northern section of the park may reward you with sights of predators like hyenas, lions, leopards, jackals among others as they hunt or take down their prey during early mornings. Buffaloes, giraffes, gazelles, elephants and hartebeests are some of the animals, one may not miss in this park. A boat cruise down the Nile River is one of the most rewarding safari experiences as one may be stunned by the sights of Nile crocodiles and hippos, not forgetting the fascinating scenery of the majestic falls.
