Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park. (3hrs drive)
You will be picked from the hotel and go for an OPTIONAL city
tour to the genocide memorial and local markets and later drive northwards to Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Muhabura Hotel (Budget)/Davinci lodge (deluxe) / Tiloreza Volcanoes Eco Lodge/ Five Volcanoes hotel(Luxury).
Day 2: 1st Mountain Gorilla Tracking and afternoon cultural walk
In the morning, your driver guide will drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing together with your trekking gear, some snacks and drinking water and ascend in the forest to track the gorillas. Upon reaching, them, you will be given a maximum of 1hr to be with them before returning to your lodge for a late lunch. In the evening, you may go for cultural walk to Iby'wachu village for a cultural experience. Dinner and overnight stay at Muhabura Hotel(Budget)/Davinci lodge (deluxe) / Tiloreza Volcanoes Eco Lodge/ Five Volcanoes hotel(Luxury).
Day 3: 2nd Mountain Gorilla tracking and transfer back to Kigali
In the morning, you will report at the park headquarters for briefing
before heading for your second gorilla trek, this time with a different
gorilla group. On return you will be driven back to Kigali for drop off at the airport or hotel depending on your schedule.

must have gorilla permits without which no one is allowed to see these gentle giants. Due to the high demand for gorilla permits, travelers are required to book as early as six months prior to the trekking date.
